A woman was punched in the face and dragged to the floor after getting in between a fight at a St Albans nightclub recently.
Herts Police are appealing for witnesses after the 24 year old was assaulted at Club Batchwood on Sunday February 21 at about 2am.
The victim got stuck in between two groups of men who were fighting on the main dancefloor.
Security staff broke up the fight and the police were called.
PC Joel Gill, who is investigating, said: βAn innocent woman became the victim of an assault through no fault of her own and was dragged to the floor and punched in the face.
βI am appealing for anyone who saw the incident to get in touch as we are keen to identify those responsible for this attack, which left a young lady with a swollen and bruised face.β
