A WOMAN has been charged in connection with a number of distraction burglaries in the area.
Aimee Cottrell, 22, from Wolverhampton was arrested on Thursday (January 20) in Birmingham and appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on Monday (January 24) charged with seven distraction burglaries. She has been remanded in custody.
Christopher Wickens, 31, of Hatfield was also arrested in Birmingham and charged with disqualified driving. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five months in prison.
The Herts Advertiser reported earlier this month that elderly people in the area had been targeted by distraction burglars.
