A WOMAN was bitten by a dog as she walked through a park in St Albans yesterday morning (Tuesday March 19).

The incident occurred in Verulamium Park at around 10.45am. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, had been walking her dog on a lead when another dog ran over to her and bit her on the forearm, according to police.

The owner of the dog who bit the woman is described as a white woman, 5ft 10in to 6ft tall and of stocky build. She had dark brown hair in a ponytail and was wearing light cream tracksuit bottoms, brown trainers and a dark navy jacket.

The dog is described as a Staffordshire bull terrier with a black shiny coat, which was stocky and possibly aged around 18 months old.
