The search is on for the owner(s) of a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog who attacked a woman.
At around 6.15pm on Thursday (28) a woman in her 40s was walking along a footpath at the bottom of the allotments of Marford Road, Wheathampstead.
She stopped to let two teenage girls with two dogs pass, but as they did so, one of the dogs bit the woman on her abdomen.
Police community support officer Che Ponton, who is investigating, said: “This was understandably quite a frightening incident for the woman but thankfully she didn’t sustain serious injuries.”
If you have any information, or if this was you, call the non-emergency number 101.
