Woman and dog saved from burning St Albans home

Firefighters rescued an elderly person and their dog from a burning home in St Albans on Saturday morning.
Crews saved the woman from a first floor window at a property in Tippendell Lane, Park Street, at around 5.30am using a ladder.
Leading Fire Control Operator Mark gave Fire Survival Guidance to the occupier on the phone and kept talking to her until crews arrived on scene.
She was then was taken to hospital by East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST).
