The winners of the annual Harpenden Photographic Society exhibition have been chosen following a public vote.
Hundreds of photographs, taken by members of the society at all skill levels, were displayed at an open studio event at Harpenden Methodist Church last month for the public to view.
After selecting their favourite three images, visitors awarded third place to Peter Stevens’ ‘Lone Tree’, second place to Malcolm Jenkins’ ‘Face That Tells a Story’ and first place to Peter Howe’s ‘Spike R.I.P’.
A spokesman said: “With a significant increase in attendance numbers, this year’s exhibition was one of the most popular of recent times for the society, with hundreds of visitors each being able to vote for their favourite three images out of the approximately 200 photographs being displayed.”
