Archant

No topic is off limits at two public meetings being held next week on the subject of the Christmas market.

St Albans council is asking people to come and give their views on the location, opening hours, management, marketing, vendor fees, attractions, and type of produce sold at the Vintry Garden fair.

Council cabinet member Beric Read said: “We are very open-minded about how the market should be developed and will be receptive to ideas and suggestions about any changes people would like to see.”

The meetings are being held at the Civic Centre on St Peter’s Street on Saturday, February 3 from 10am to noon in the council chamber, and Wednesday, February 7 from 6pm to 8pm in committee room one.

Organisers have asked people to let them know they are coming by emailing christmas@stalbans.gov.uk

Those who cannot attend but would like to submit their views can do so by emailing that address.
