Russell MacDonald: 46, of Drakes Drive, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 50 hours unpaid community, work, attend 30 days of a Building Better Relationships programme, and pay £85 costs and £85 towards victim services after assaulting a woman by beating in St Albans on April 7.

Gary McPhail: 28, of Cairns Close, St Albans, was ordered to attend 32 days of a Building Better Relationships programme, was made subject to a restraining order until May 16 2020, and ordered to pay £200 compensation, £85 costs and £85 towards victim services after pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment, at London Colney between April 20 and 27.

Jordan Foskett: 22, of Watling View, St Albans, was ordered to attend 30 days of a Building Better Relationships programme, made subject to a restraining order until May 16 2020, and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 towards victim services after pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment at Maple Cross between August 30 2017 and January 20 2018.

Tom Vance: 69, of Upper Station Road, Radlett, was fined £450 plus £85 costs and £45 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points for refusing to identify the motorist driving his Ford Mondeo when it was involved in an offence of speeding at 44mph along the 30mph A5183 Elstree Hill South, north of Sullivan Way, Borehamwood, on October 20, as required by Herts Police at Stevenage on November 27.

Marcus Irving: 42, of Ladies Grove, St Albans, was fined £80 plus £326 compensation, £85 costs and £30 towards victim services after stealing meat worth £326 from Waitrose in Harpenden on February 1.

Stephen Leach: 61, of The Square, Redbourn, was given a 12 month conditional discharge, made subject to a restraining order lasting until May 17 2019, and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 towards victim services after using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, in Harpenden on January 2.

Altaf Husain: 30, of Victoria Street, St Albans, was fined £46 plus £10.60 compensation, £50 costs and £15 towards victim services after entering a train for the purpose of travelling without a valid ticket, at St Pancras Station on April 4 2012.

Nathan Jones: 44, of Noke Lane, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points after speeding in a Mercedes Benz along the 50mph A1081 Airport Way, Luton, on May 21.

Leonard Bourne: 71, of Caledon Road, London Colney, was fined £100 plus £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 40mph in a DS along the 30mph A5183 Park Street, south of Hawfield Gardens, St Albans, on August 25 2017.

Roy Stanbury: 57, of Collingwood Drive, London Colney, was banned from driving for 32 months, ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency for six months, and was fined £116 plus £85 costs and £85 towards victim services after driving a Mazda MX-5 I Roadster along Waterside in London Colney on May 5, having consumed so much alcohol that the proportion in his breath was 131mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

Alexander Brind: 26, of Gustard Wood, Wheathampstead, was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £207 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services after driving a BMW 5 Series in Markyate High Street on April 3, having consumed so much alcohol that the proportion in his breath was 62mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. he was fined a further £276 for also driving without a licence or insurance.

Paul Sallows: 28, of Martins Court, St Albans, was committed to prison for 10 weeks suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £157.40 compensation after stealing wine worth £7.40 from Tesco in St Albans on May 27, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, and the same offence but racially aggravated, all in St Albans on the same date.
