Patrick O’Keefe: 79, of Cedarwood Drive, St Albans, was fined £40 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 37mph in a Kia Ceed along the 30mph B6426 Cavendish Way, Hatfield, on February 1.

Stefan Radu: 21, of Hatfield Road, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points after driving a Fiat Punto Active Sport while using a handheld mobile phone on Hatfield Road, St Albans, on January 15.

Luke Speller: 26, of Shenleybury Villas, Shenleybury, was fined £560 plus £85 costs and £56 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points for speeding at 52mph in a Range Rover along the 30mph Black Lion Hill at Shenley on January 14.

Kieran Vousden: 25, of Green Lane, St Albans, was fined £1,320 plus £85 costs and £66 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points after riding a Honda CBR 600 without insurance, with only a provisional licence and without L plates, with no registration plates and without an MOT, in Green Lane, St Albans, on January 18.

Brendan Boylan: 20, of Wilshere Avenue, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid community work, and pay £100 compensation, £200 costs and £85 towards victim services after assaulting a man by beating in St Albans on February 2.

Simon Speer: 35, of Langley Grove, Sandridge, was jailed for 32 weeks and ordered to pay £346.10 compensation after stealing three bottles of wine worth £22.20 from Tesco in St Albans on August 11, stealing a Bosch laser level and a screwdriver worth £93.90 from Homebase in St Albans on August 9, stealing two pairs of sunglasses worth £230 in St Albans on July 23, interfering with a motor vehicle with the intention of committing theft in St Albans on July 23, and breaching a suspended sentence made on June 22 for interfering with two separate motor vehicles with the intention of committing theft in St Albans on June 21, and handling a stolen credit card in St Albans on June 20, and then using the card to purchase goods on the same date.

Shammi Uddin: 18, of Norris Close, London Colney, was fined £75 plus £620 costs and £30 towards victim services and was awarded six penalty points for driving an Audi A1 Sport on the M1 between J9-8 while using a handheld mobile phone on July 1.

Mirostaw Janiszewski: 36, of Chalfont Place, St Albans, was banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending, and fined £120 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, after driving a Toyota Celica without insurance along Bricket Road, St Albans on November 1 2017.

Anthony Charlton: 32, of Richard Stagg Close, St Albans, was ordered to pay £46.70 compensation and £40 costs after dishonestly making a false representation by attempting to buy food and alcohol with a debit card that declined payment in St Albans on January 16.

Gordon McCarroll: 31, of Malthouse Court, St Albans, was ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency for 12 months, and was fined £80 plus £50 costs and £85 towards victim services, after using racially aggravated, threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, in St Albans on July 17.

Rachel Burridge: 27, of New Kent Road, St Albans, was banned from driving for 25 months, ordered to carry out 50 hours unpaid community work, was placed under a curfew from 8pm-7am daily until September 27, and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 towards victim services after driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Bricket Road, St Albans, on July 30, having consumed so much alcohol that the proportion in her breath was 108mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath - over three times the legal limit - and driving without insurance on the same date.

Andrew Sami: 52, of Black Lion Hill, Shenley, was fined £180 plus £300 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points after refusing to identify the motorist driving his Mercedes 300SL when it was involved in an offence of speeding on the 30mph B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey, on January 9, as required by Herts Police at Stevenage on February 8.
