Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are celebrating their 35th anniversary with a ceremony at the cathedral.

There will be Quorum Singers of St Albans and Welwyn Garden City Male Voice Choir, as well as a performances from children from Heathlands School singing in harmony with St Albans Girls School choir.

The charity’s dog demonstration team will show off their skills, and people will share their stories of how having a hearing dog changed their lives.

Community fundraising manager Michelle Sapwell said: “We are delighted to be holding a special service to celebrate the anniversary of Hearing Dogs at St Albans cathedral.

“It promises to be a wonderful finale to our anniversary celebrations.”

The event will take place on Wednesday, February 21 at 7pm, and tea and coffee will be served afterwards.
