High Street in Markyate will close later this week so BT can carry out some work.
The road will shut between Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 to allow engineers to access manhole covers and complete underground cabling works.
A spokesperson for Openreach said: “In order to allow our engineers to safely install new fibre cable to the surrounding properties we’ve arranged with the local authority for part of the High Street, between the Old Malt House and the Post Office, to be closed between 8am to 6pm on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29.”
“We’ve already carried out a leaflet drop to make local residents aware of the road closure and would like to thank both residents and shoppers for their patience while we carry out these improvements to the network.”
