Wheathampstead’s War, the stories of ghosts long-departed from 1914-1918, takes place in the village’s Memorial Hall on Friday.
This evening of dramatised stories and songs includes a unique one-off performance of a play written by local historians Terry and Margaret Pankhurst, which involves the local Wheathampstead Community Choir, the Wheathampstead Dramatic Society, History Society, and Preservation Society.
The performance starts at 8pm, and tickets cost £8 from Manor Pharmacy in High Street, Wheathampstead.
The village Remembrance Day service is at 10.30am on November 9 at St Helen’s Church, and two minutes silence at the War Memorial on November 11 at 11am.
