Motorcyclist taken to hospital after M1 crash near St Albans yesterday

Details are emerging of a crash involving a motorcyclist and two cars yesterday evening.
The northbound route by junction 6a of the M1 was shut, and two ambulances and three fire engines were called at 6pm yesterday following the incident.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered a suspected broken wrist and leg after colliding with two cars.
He was taken to Luton and Dunstable hospital, but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Herts fire and rescue service sent crews from St Albans, Garston, and Hemel to deal with a fuel leak.
The incident was cleared up by around 7.30pm.
