Temporary traffic lights have been erected on a major Harpenden thoroughfare while gas works are carried out.
Cadent, formerly know as National Grid Gas Distribution, are carrying out repair work on the A1081 (Luton Road).
The works are between Hollybush Lane and Moreton End Lane, and are expected to last until Wednesday, January 24.
Contractors will be digging up the road to carry out the repairs.
