A woman jogger was left shaken after she was assaulted while out running.

The victim, in her 20s, was running along London Road in Markyate between 6.30-7pm on Monday, February 12 when an unknown man appeared beside her and pushed her over.

She fell to the ground and suffered a graze to her knee, but the man ran off towards the Plume of Feathers pub without making any threats or stealing any of her property.

PC Tom Colvin said: “Thankfully the woman wasn’t seriously injured but was left shaken by what happened.

“The incident occurred on a busy residential road so it is quite possible there would have been a number of people around at the time so I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who thinks they may know the identity of the man, to please contact us.”
