Afternoon thunderstorms yesterday (Fri) caused some St Albans shops to close, after water damage to the properties prompted health and safety worries.
TK Maxx, Kurt Geiger and Office chose to close their stores, with TK Maxx suffering particularaly after their ceiling collapsed.
The Maltings team worked hard to get the stores safe, and the shops are now back open for business.
Fire and police attended the TK Maxx store, but have said there are no serious safety concerns.
