TV presenter and gameshow host Vernon Kay will be appearing at a restaurant this Saturday in celebration of a chain’s 40th anniversary.
The Bolton entertainer will appear at the Moor Mill Beefeater in recognition of his appointment as ‘Boss of Beef’ and will present a novel games show dubbed The Hungry Games.
Vernon will pit eight families against one another in a number of challenges such as ‘Wacky Waiter Relay’ and ‘Blindfold Sundae Challenge’ to win a two-week holiday and additional spending money, along with a trophy.
Vernon Kay said: “Everyone knows I love a good game show! I’m really looking forward to hosting The Hungry Games in Hertfordshire and meeting the contestants and all the local residents that come down for the day.”
