Residents concerned about the lack of water in the River Ver are protesting this weekend.
Hundreds of residents concerned about the lack of water in the River Ver held a demonstration in blue on Sunday.
Members and supporters of The Ver Valley Society met at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks to highlight the problem affecting the rare chalk stream.
Chairman of The Ver Valley Society John Pritchard said: "We had between 300 and 400 people come out and turn our dry river blue.
"Chalk stream campaigner Feargal Sharkey said a few words of support. We have gained a number of new members and will carry on campaigning for The Ver and the other chalk streams of Hertfordshire."
Protester Sarah Fuller said her daughter and her friend stood in the dried-up river in the same place as they had taken a photo in 2016.
Sarah said: "I would really like to hear from the Environment Agency as to what they are doing about this devastating loss."
The Ver Valley Society is a group of over 200 people who want to protect and promote all aspects of the River Ver and its valley.
