A 51-year-old St Albans man who was arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a baby has been released from police custody.
Police confirmed that no further action will be taken against the man, but that a 37-year-old man from Hatfield who was also arrested in connection with the incident remains in custody.
Officers attended an address in the district yesterday as part of the investigations into the the 10-month-old boy’s death, the cause of which is still unknown.
Emergency services were initially called to a home in The Runway, Hatfield, at 10.20pm on Sunday, June 1 to reports the baby boy was not breathing.
The child later died at Lister Hospital.
