AN INQUEST was opened and adjourned on Tuesday (16) following the death of a man who fell from the top floor of a multi-storey car park in St Albans city centre at the weekend.
The man was Paul Bannon, aged 45, of Shenley Lane. London Colney.
Police were called to The Maltings car park, just off New Kent Road, at 5.38pm on Saturday April 13 after receiving reports that a man had fallen.
East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) communications manager Gary Sanderson said that the Herts Air Ambulance was sent to St Albans, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police have been conducting enquiries into his death, but it was not being treated as suspicious, and has been referred to the Coroner.
