A 43-YEAR-OLD man has died, following a multi-vehicle collision on the London Colney bypass this morning (Wednesday).
The crash happened at around 6am, between The Bell Roundabout and the A414 North Orbital Road junction and involved four articulated lorries.
Paul Newton, from Essex, received serious injuries and died at the scene.
The road was shut off for several hours, whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and the northbound carriageway remains closed this afternoon. The southbound carriageway was reopened shortly after 1.30pm.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101.
