Paramedics and firefighters rushed to help a woman in cardiac arrest this morning.
At about 9am an East of England ambulance and rapid response vehicle, as well as an Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, were called to an unconscious woman in Dalton Street.
Firefighting crews from St Albans also assisted at the scene.
She was resuscitated and taken to Watford General Hospital in a life threatening condition.
