TWO men were arrested following a public order offence in St Albans on Friday afternoon (May 4).

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the incident, which happened in The Maltings at around 5pm.

Officers were in attendance a short time after the altercation and a 47-year-old man from Harpenden and a 32-year-old man from St Albans were arrested. They have been released on police bail.

A number of people were witness to what happened and tried to intervene during the incident. Police would like to speak with these people.
