There has been a major crash near Harpenden involving at least two vehicles.
The crash took place on the B653 Lower Luton Road, between Harpenden and Wheathampstead on the approach to the Station Road roundabout.
Firefighters from St Albans attended the vehicle fire and used hosereels to extinguish the fire.
Two casualties were taken to hospital with only slight injuries, but there have been reports of queues up to 25 minutes.
