CAMP comedian Julian Clary was followed by cameras when he visited the former Napsbury Hospital site in London Colney while filming the BBC programme Who Do You Think You Are? Julian was visiting Napsbury where his father was treated after serving as a flight engineer in the Second World War. The former hospital for the mentally ill - now a new housing scheme named The Arboretum - was used as a war hospital from 1939 to 1945. A number of scenes were filmed there as part of the programme which goes out at 9pm next Wednesday on BBC2. Who Do You Think You Are? Is a series in which celebrities trace their ancestry, discovering secrets and surprises from their past. After examining his family tree, Julian concluded that it was like reading a good novel. The Arboretum has been used for location filming on several occasions, including scenes for Eastenders and the recent Robert Carlyle drama Class of '76.
