A TREE branch crashed down on a Jaguar in a council-owned car park last weekend.
It was parked in the car park at the corner of Cravells Road and Grove Road in Southdown, Harpenden, on Sunday when the large branch from the Norway Maple fell on it, causing extensive damage.
Andrew Branch, trees and woodlands officer for St Albans district council, said: “We have inspected the site and arranged for the branch to be removed. High winds appear to be responsible for causing the branch to become detached from the tree. We sympathise with the owner of the vehicle and have advised them to contact their insurers.”
