A WOMAN who had trapped her arm under the passenger seat of her car was set free by firefighters last night.
The woman had been searching under the seat for keys when her arm got stuck and despite attempts by her husband to free her, firefighters were called to Clarence Road at around 8pm.
They removed her watch and started asking nearby residents if they had any washing-up liquid or ice packs which would help reduce the swelling of the woman’s arm and ease it out.
The woman’s arm was soon freed and she was checked over by paramedics.
