Radlett commuters encountered train delays this morning after a woman reportedly threatened to harm herself on the line close to the station.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to the trespassing incident at around 9am, with delays of up to 20 minutes affecting Thameslink trains travelling between St Albans and London St Pancras International.
Herts police, the East of England Ambulance service (EEAST) and the Herts fire and rescue service were also on the scene.
A spokesperson for BTP said: “The woman was removed from an embankment, detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for assessment.”
He added that lines were handed back to Network Rail just after 10am.
