TRAIN operator First Capital Connect's (FCC) managing director Elaine Holt has announced that she is stepping down to pursue other interests.
She has been in the role for three years and has spent a total of 10 years with FCC's parent company, FirstGroup.
Ms Holt led the company's franchise bid for the Thameslink route and is credited with improving the Public Performance Measure at FCC to a record 90 per cent. She has also led the first phase of the Thameslink Programme which will eventually mean a fleet of new trains and increased services.
Jim Morgan, development director for rail at FirstGroup has been appointed to succeed Ms Holt on an interim basis. He sits on the boards of FCC and Scotrail.
