One and a half hour delay to fix blown fuse at intersection signals
THERE were peak hour traffic snarl-ups in St Albans city centre this morning after a fuse blew in the lights at the crossroads of Beaconsfield Road and Victoria Street.
A spokesman for Herts Highways said the fuse blew at about 8.30am but as there was a delay in the problem being reported, a contractor did reach the site until one-and-a-half-hours later, at 11am.
The fuse was repaired within 15 minutes.
