A Pulitzer Prize-winning author is special guest at a literary dinner taking place at a St Albans restaurant next Wednesday.
Robert Olen Butler wrote A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain, as well as 17 other books and several short story collections. He has trained as an actor, worked as a reporter, and engaged in intelligence collection. In 2013 he won the F. Scott Fitzgerald Award for Outstanding Achievement in American Literature. He teaches creative writing at Florida State University.
Robert is in the country to promote his series of historical thrillers, the most recent of which is The Star of Istanbul.
The literary dinner takes place at Lussmanns in Harpenden, with a sparkling reception starting at 6:30pm, and tickets are £35 including a three course dinner with wine. Contact the restaurant for further information on 01727 851941.
