One of Britain’s top architects visited St Albans to conduct a talk on modern design in a historic city.
Sir Terry Farrell is responsible for many iconic designs including the Greenwich Peninsula, Paddington Basin, Newcastle’s Quayside, Hull’s The Deep, Newcastle’s Centre for Life, and some East Asian buildings including Incheon Airport in Seoul and both Beijing and Guangzhou stations.
This year he was awarded the Royal Town Planning Institute’s Gold Medal as one of the world’s most influential architects, planners and urban designers.
St Albans Civic Society hosted his free talk, which took place at St Albans School library on November 21, at 7pm.
Entrance was free.
