Advance tickets for the GolfSixes event being held in St Albans have gone on sale for just £6.

The six-hole tournament will be held at the Centurion Golf Club on May 6 to 7, and will see teams of two from 16 different nations competing for a share of a €1 million prize fund.

David Williams, tournament director of GolfSixes, said: “We’re very excited about this innovative new format, and we want to give as many golf fans, and potential golf fans, as possible the opportunity to get along to the Centurion Club on May 6 and 7.

“It will be a fast-paced and fun event for both players and spectators, with lots of entertainment on the course and in the fan zone.”

The advance adult tickets for the tournament can be bought for £6 until Sunday March 19.

A family of four can buy tickets for under £20, with children’s tickets costing just £3.

For that, you can get access to an exciting and revolutionary sporting event, filled with pyrotechnics, player question and answer sessions, and lots of different food vendors.

The first day’s play on Saturday, May 6 will see the teams split into four groups of four, before the top two teams from each group progress to the knockout stages.

The knockout stages will be held on the Sunday, and will consist of the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, a play-off match for third and fourth place, and the final.
