The red Ford Fiesta, which was driving through Wheathampstead, was stopped by officers last Wednesday when the vehicle's number plate sounded an alert on the Automatic Number Plate Recognition system.
Police seized a quantity of heroin and a 26-year-old man, 40-year-old woman and teenage girl were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The male suspect, who is from Hatfield, appeared at St Albans Magistrate Court last Friday (19) and has been given conditional bail until his next appearance at court, to be decided at a later date. The 16-year-old girl, also from Hatfield, was given police bail until next March and the adult female was released without charge.
