THREE men from St Albans have been charged with murder, after the body of a 29-year-old man was found in Wheathampstead on Friday evening (November 18).

Joseph Cross, 27, from Newgate Close and 30-year-old Anthony Cross, from Green Lane, appeared at Hatfield Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, charged with the murder of Mohim Miah.

Both were remanded in custody.

Michael Taylor, 27, from Bricket Road, was further charged with murder overnight.

All three men were due to appear at St Albans Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday).

A fourth man, aged 40 from St Albans, has been bailed pending further investigations by police.

Mohim Miah was found with fatal injuries in a lay-by on Ferrers Lane, near Nomansland, at around 5.40pm.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Ferrers Lane and saw or heard any suspicious activity between 5.15pm and 5.40pm on Friday.

They would also like to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in Newgate Close, Jersey Farm, St Albans, throughout the day on Friday or witnessed an altercation between three men in Spicer Street, St Albans, shortly after 8pm on Friday.
