THREE people were taken to hospital following a crash on the Redbourn Road in St Albans on Sunday.
The accident happened on the A5183 at around 1.50pm opposite the Pre Hotel.
Three cars were involved in the accident and firefighters administered first aid at the scene while awaiting the arrival of paramedics.
The three casualties were taken to the QE2 hospital with minor injuries.
Concerns over the safety of the road have recently been raised by the police, councillors and local residents following a number of accidents.
They want a temporarily reduction in the speed limit from 60mph to 40mph along the hotspot known as the 'Pre Bends', which takes in the stretch of road between Hogg End Lane and the Batchwood roundabout.
