HARPENDEN: Thousands of residents suffered a power cut shortly before 10pm on Tuesday night after a fault was discovered on an overhead power line.
The power to several thousand EDF Energy customers went on at 9.50am and although the majority had their electricty supplies restored within 10 minutes, the last ones did not get their power back until 10.45pm.
The roads affected included Park Avenue North, Luton Road, Station Road and Crabtree Lane.
