Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Phil Howard, from two Michelin-starred The Square, will be appearing at a special charity dinner at THOMPSON St Albans.
The evening will be held in support of Bill Cooke and St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham. Bill, who has been recently diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer, is the father of THOMPSON chef Paul and his brother Mark, who worked with Phil Thompson for six years.
Phil, who met Phil Howard in 2011 while judging the National Chef of the Year competition, said: “For my chefs to see a legend like Phil Howard do what he does best will be an amazing opportunity and there will certainly be a massive buzz in the restaurant that evening, both front and back of house. I am grateful that a chef as busy and as highly regarded as Phil Howard always has time for me.”
The fundraising evening takes place on Tuesday May 24, and costs £110 per person. Canapés will be served on arrival followed by a four course food tasting menu, of which Phil Howard will cook the starter and main course, and Phil Thompson the middle course and dessert. The event will be fun and interactive, with both chefs introducing their dishes throughout the evening. Drinks are not included.
