TV royalty has come to St Albans to film the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Not the actual Royal Family though! Instead it’s the cast of Channel 4’s sitcom about Britain’s ruling dynasty filming a one-off special for The Windsors.

Film crews were spotted around St Albans Abbey, which was used last year as a filming location for Netflix’s The Crown, including W1A’s Hugh Skinner who plays Prince William.

Head of comedy at Channel 4 Fiona McDermott said: “I am thrilled to have The Windsors back on Channel 4 for a royal wedding special and can’t wait to see what Meghan’s dress looks like, if Fergie is invited and most importantly what fascinators Beatrice and Eugenie will be wearing!”

The show also stars Harry Enfield as Prince Charles, Katy Wix as Sarah Ferguson, Richard Goulding as Prince Harry and Kathryn Drysdale as Meghan.
