CHALLENGING all comers in this year's St Albans pancake race is the Abbey. A four-man Abbey team won last year's race and the coveted frying pan. They will be defending their trophy at this year's race which starts at 12.30pm on Tuesday, February 28, outside the St Albans Tourist and Information Centre (TIC). Teams must comprise four people who are able to run and toss a pancake, hopefully catching it in their frying pan. Fancy dress or corporate colours are always welcome but not obligatory. To register a team either contact the TIC on 01727 864511 or e-mail tic@stalbans.gov.uk
