Jason Browning: 39, of Tallents Crescent, Harpenden, was fined £220 plus £5.80 compensation, £125 costs and £30 towards victim services after failing to hand over a ticket for inspection en route near Harpenden railway station on May 2.

Grace Kemball-Cook: 23, of Gorham Drive, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £2.70 compensation, £125 costs and £30 towards victim services after entering a train for the purpose of travel without a valid ticket, en route near Elstree and Borehamwood on March 1.

Simon Foley: 44, of Blenheim Mews, Shenley, was fined £220 plus £100 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 38mph along the 30mph B556 Mutton Lane, east of Laurel Fields, Potters Bar, on October 30.

Max Randell: 33, of Watson Avenue, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £200 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded four penalty points after driving without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road by driving in excess of the speed limits, following closely to a silver estate car travelling ahead of him, and travelling closely to the solid white line in the centre of the road, in London Road, Shenley, on October 6.

Anthony Charlton: 31, of Richard Stagg Close, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £21 compensation, £85 costs and £20 towards victim services, after making off without paying for numerous food items in St Albans on July 22.

Beverly Shearon: 50, of Lycaste Close, Dellfield, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £50 compensation and £30 towards victim services after entering a dwelling in Lycaste Close as a trespasser and stealing various items worth £150, between February 9-21.

Alexander Degale: 37, of Guildford Road, St Albans, was banned from driving for 24 months, and fined £537 plus £85 costs and £53 towards victim services, after giving a breath specimen of 93mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, while driving a blue Vauxhall Astra in Guildford Road on July 8.

Richard O’Sullivan: 54, of Groomthorpe Close, St Albans, was fined £80 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services after making indecent or grossly offensive phone calls with the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to Herts police at St Albans on March 18 and 20.

Aaron Howlett: 39, of Pasture View, Smallford, was committed to prison for seven days and ordered to pay £115 towards victim services after pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment by sending messages and emails between May 12-18 at St Albans.

Mark Weekes: 40, of Therfield Road, St Albans, was committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 towards victim services, after failing to register an address with the police within three days of release from custody, contrary to the Sexual Offences Action 2003, between July 19-21 at Hatfield. The custodial sentence was because this is the fourth occasion when the defendant has committed a ‘like’ offence.

Trevor Nicholson: 57, of Cotlandswick, London Colney, was fined £180 plus £50 compensation, £30 towards victim services and £720 costs after assaulting a man by beating in Hatfield Road, St Albans, on April 9.
