Kenneth Jakeman: 42, of Riverside Road, St Albans, was committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £10 compensation and £200 costs after stealing loose coins a set of three keys and Jaguar sunglasses in St Albans on September 9, and then dishonestly assisting in the handling of stolen goods, namely an Apple iPod Touch worth £40, in St Albans on September 21.

Luke O’Malley: 29, of Nuns Lane, St Albans, was fined £233 plus £115 costs after sending an indecent or grossly offensive Facebook message for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient, in St Albans on June 27.

Mohammad Rakin: 20, of Dellfield, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £1,130 compensation after knowing that a wrongful credit of £1,130 had been made to his Halifax account, dishonestly failed to take reasonable steps to secure that the credit was cancelled, on or between October 27-30 2015 in St Albans.

Dayanand Ponapalam: 30, of North Cottages, Napsbury, was made subject to a restraining order until September 30 2017, ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid community work, and to pay costs of £385, after making 27 calls and sending abusive text messages in breach of a non-molestation order, in St Albans on May 15, and attending the victim’s home on two occasions on June 19, also in breach of the same order.

Phillippa Havard: 55, of Hopkins Crescent, Sandridge, was committed to prison for three weeks suspended for 24 months, and ordered to pay £80 compensation and £200 costs after stealing meat worth £80 from the Co-op at Brookmans Park in Hatfield on June 6.

Laura Griggs: of Boyes Crescent, London Colney, was fined £220 plus £66.67 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs for keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road, namely Baldock High Street, on May 13.

Ben Whaley: 19, of Fullerton Close, Markyate, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £130 plus £115 costs after giving a blood specimen showing 8.4mcg of cannabis in his blood, exceeding the specified limit, in High Street, Markyate, on July 22.

Alamgir Hussain: 21, of Campfield Road, St Albans, was fined £440 plus £664 costs and awarded six penalty points for driving without due care and attention at Cowley Hill roundabout with Hartforde Road, Borehamwood, failing to give way and colliding with another vehicle, on January 23.

Brogan Murray: 19, of Wren Close, Kimpton, was committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 18 months, ordered to have treatment for drug dependency for 12 months, and ordered to pay £50.06 compensation after failing to attend a drug assessment at Stevenage on May 17, July 19 and August 9, dishonestly making off without paying for £50.06 of fuel at Harpenden on May 12, and driving without insurance or a licence in Bradbury Lane, Knebworth on August 24.

Raymond Fitch: 75, of Russet Drive, St Albans, was fined £150 plus £630 costs for committing an act in a public place which outraged public decency by behaving in an indecent manner, in St Albans on May 9.

Amro Hassaan: 43, of St Stephens Avenue, St Albans, was fined £317 plus £116 costs and awarded three penalty points for driving without due care and attention along the A405 North Orbital Road, St Albans, on March 20.

Peter Lewis: 40, of Valley Road, St Albans, was fined £80 plus £20 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding in excess of 30mph on the A211 Hempstead Road, Watford, on February 9.
