Julie Maloney: 29, of Laxton Gardens, Shenley, was committed to prison for four weeks and ordered to pay £80 compensation for assaulting a woman by beating at Watford on March 10, assaulting a police constable and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on the same date, and failing to surrender to custody at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on April 5, aggravated because the offence was an assault on a landlady, the defendant was intoxicated, had previous convictions and was on a suspended sentence for benefit fraud imposed on July 23 2015.

Roger Smith: 33, of Clarendon Court, Harpenden, was fined £200 plus £78.20 compensation and ordered to pay £105 costs after making off without paying for £78.20 of fuel from Tesco Express Service Station on the Lower Luton Road at Harpenden, on November 4, and fined a further £280 plus £77.52 compensation for the same offence, at the same location, on December 15.

Stephen Oakley: 54, of Chandlers Road, St Albans, was fined £167 plus £26.89 compensation and £115 costs for stealing four magazines worth £16 on March 31, two magazines on April 9, and a Jiffy envelope worth £1.89 on April 12, all from WHSmith in St Albans, and was fined a further £167 for committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge for the theft of magazines worth £15 from WHSmith at Welwyn Garden City on April 9.

Sam Smith: 27, of Farm Crescent, Napsbury Park, was fined £164 and ordered to pay £18.34 vehicle excise back duty, plus £110 costs, after keeping an unlicensed vehicle on Cottonmill Crescent, St Albans, on October 27.

Harry Gaddes: 76, of Frogmore Home Park, St Albans, was fined £180 plus £640 costs and was awarded six penalty points for failing to disclose the identity of the motorist using his vehicle when it was involved in an offence between July 15 and August 11.

Carlos Martins: 36, of Sanders Close, London Colney, was fined £350 plus £345 costs and was awarded six penalty points for driving without insurance in London Colney High Street on August 3.

Andrew Woolmer: 43, of Brewhouse Hill, Wheathampstead, was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress, at St Albans on March 7.

Sonny Disspain: 19, of Buttermere Close, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £100 costs for assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty, in St Albans on March 5.

Russell Ginder: 29, of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood, was fined £40 plus £105 costs for assaulting a police constable in the execution of her duty, at St Albans on May 8.

Melanie Dunne: 44, of Creighton Avenue, St Albans, was fined £350 plus £155 costs after using a television without a licence at the above address on January 22.

Claire Eakins: 36, of Swallow Lane, St Albans, was fined £240 plus £144 costs for using a television without a licence at the above address between December 22 and January 23.

Heather Janes: 38, of Norris Close, London Colney, was fined £240 plus £144 costs after using a television without a licence at the above address on January 29.

Patricia Keenan: 47, of Olive Close, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £144 costs after using a television without a licence at the above address on January 22.

Lucy Loveridge: 31, of Olive Close, St Albans, was fined 3220 plus £144 costs for using a television without a licence at the above address between December 22 and January 23.

Charlotte Rushbrooke: 30, of Tennyson Road, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £144 costs for using a television without a licence at the above address on February 1.

Linda Brine: 41, of Collyer Road, London Colney, was fined £80 plus £80 costs for using a television without a licence at the above address between July 6 and August 7.

Carrie Rowe: 28, of Selby Avenue, St Albans, was committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £165 costs after being found in possession of wooden handled kitchen knife with an 8cm blade in The Maltings Shopping Centre at St Albans on March 22, possessing five wraps of crack cocaine and a wrap of heroin on the same date, and ordered to pay £32.96 compensation for stealing clothing worth that value from New Look at St Albans, also on March 22.
