Gordon Simpson: 71, of Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans, was fined £50 plus £420 costs for assaulting a woman by beating at St Albans on February 10.

Mark Crane: 38, of the Old Bell pub, Luton Road, Harpenden, was made subject to a restraining order lasting until December 17, and fined £725 plus £308 costs for assaulting a woman by beating at Harpenden on June 6.

Megchelina Smith: 85, of Stanton Close, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £340 costs after assaulting a woman and a man at St Albans on September 14.

Peter Smith: 72, of Stanton Close, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £340 costs for assaulting a man at St Albans on September 14.

Gareth Lemon: 37, of Davys Close, Wheathampstead, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid community work, was banned from driving for 36 months, and ordered to pay £700 costs after refusing to provide a breath specimen at Hatfield on September 12, and failing to stop a vehicle when required to by a police officer in uniform, in House Lane, St Albans, on the same date.

Costel Colban: 34, of Watling Street, Radlett, was banned from driving for 46 months and fined £760 plus £311 costs after giving a breath specimen of 57mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Watling Street, Elstree, on June 7.

Shaun Atkins: 50, of Swallow Lane, St Albans, was banned from driving for 20 months and fined £110 plus £255 costs after giving a breath specimen of 78mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Marshalswick Lane, St Albans on June 13.

Adam Welch-McDonald: 20, of Caledon Road, London Colney, was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £320 plus £267 costs after giving a breath specimen of 123mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, in Batchwood Drive, St Albans, on April 25.

Ali Abdul-Hussain: 31, of The Ridgeway, St Albans, was banned from driving for 39 months and fined £110 plus £255 costs after giving a breath specimen of 68mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, and a further £110 for driving without insurance, in London Road, St Albans on June 14.

Paul Chappell: 40, of Kendals Close, Radlett, was made subject to a restraining order until June 17 2016, ordered to carry out 60 hours unpaid community work, and ordered to pay £295 costs after pursing a course of harassment involving leaving messages on a vehicle, repeatedly phoning and attending his victim’s address when unwelcome, between June 1 and 3 at Hemel Hempstead.

Roy Stallard: 35, of Woollam Crescent, St Albans, was fined £35 plus £220 costs after being found drunk and disorderly outside the Alban Arena in Civil Close, St Albans, on June 15.

Kirk Stewart: 33, of Gorham Drive, St Albans, was fined £95 plus £105 costs for racially-aggravated, threatening or abusive words or behaviour in St Albans on March 16.

Roy Stallard: 35, of Woollam Crescent, St Albans, was fined £80 plus £255 costs after using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in St Albans on June 8.

Rowan Hayles: 32, of Langley Grove, Sandridge, was fined £55 plus £105 costs after damaging the Post Office counter in St Peter’s Street, St Albans, on November 8.

Carly McDonnell: 28, of St Peter’s Street, St Albans, was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £39 compensation and £100 costs after stealing two bottles of vodka worth £39 from Marks & Spencer in St Albans on March 13.

Melanie Dunne: 44, of Creighton Avenue, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £15 costs after stealing £150 cash in St Albans on December 28.

Curtis Harlow: 34, of Holyrood Crescent, St Albans, was fined £75 plus £100 compensation and £105 costs after stealing a RSJ steel beam worth £240 from Oak Property Rental Services in St Albans on March 17.

James Boothby: 24, of Humbers Hoe, Markyate, was fined £80 plus £105 costs after being found in possession of a bag of cannabis in Hemel Hempstead on March 5.

Ross Gauntlett: 26, of Lavender Crescent, St Albans, was committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 24 months and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation and £265 costs for indecently assaulting a woman in St Albans on April 24, and was made subject to a restraining order lasting until Jun 28 2017 and ordered to pay £250 compensation for pursuing a course of harassment at Hemel Hempstead between May 6-7 which involved sending nine unwanted text messages and making nine unwanted phone calls.

Linda Oakley: 35, of Tavistock Avenue, St Albans, was fined £185 plus £105 costs and awarded four penalty points for speeding at 50mph along the 30mph B6426 Cavendish Way at Hatfield on January 15.

Samantha Harkness: 29, of High Street, London Colney, was banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending, and was fined £120 plus £105 costs after failing to provide the identity of a motorist using her vehicle when it was involved in an offence between November 27 and December 25.

Matthew O’Leary-Profit: 31, of Ladies Grove, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £105 costs for not wearing a seat belt while driving down Chorleywood Road, Rickmansworth, on December 29.

Sydney McGregor: 22, of House Lane, Sandridge, was fined £70 plus £105 costs and awarded six penalty points for speeding in excess of 30mph at Hemel Hempstead on January 30.
