A comedy music video featuring St Albans’ best quirks and hotspots set to the charming tones of local personality and Elvis impersonator Ricky Lopez has gone online.
‘That’s St Albans’ was a finalist in the St Albans Film Festival and had audiences laughing at a recent screening because of its funny lyrics sang to the tune of That’s Amore.
Song phrases that tickled residents of the city pink included “it’s a small piece of Rome that’s not too far from home”.
Made by Michael Dias of Chiswell Studios, the film follows Elvis Shmelvis as he wanders through the city visiting popular and iconic locations such as the Alban Arena, the Town Hall and Verulamium Park.
The entertainer, who has appeared on The One Show, is joined by St Albans Mayor Annie Brewster for sections of the recording.
Director Michael said the video was “our gift to the people of St Albans”.
