Thameslink have provided an update on the state of their services.
Commuters were stuck at St Albans station this morning after a train broke down at City Thameslink
Thameslink have now released a statement saying: “We managed to recover services, and were able to run a normal service for this evening’s peak, albeit with some trains running at different lengths.
“However, an object was caught on the overhead electric wires, and as a result one of the four lines at Hendon has had to be closed while we wait for Network Rail engineers to attend the site and resolve the issue.
“This is having a subsequent impact on evening services including St. Albans.”
