TEMPORARY lane closures have been put in place on the London Colney roundabout, following a number of accidents over the weekend.
The lane closures are currently in place on all its approaches, which has been causing chaos for motorists throughout the day.
The closures are in place to allow Herts Highways to carry out road marking and anti-skid works, following the series of accidents during the bad weather.
This work is unlikely to be completed ahead of the evening rush hour tonight but the road is expected to be open as normal by tomorrow morning (Tuesday). In the meantime, motorists have been advised to use alternative routes where possible.
Herts Highways have apologised for the delays but said its first priority had to be the safety of the travelling public.
