TWO people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car they were travelling in overturned on a busy dual carriageway at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to the accident along the A414 in London Colney, at the junction with White Horse Lane, at 7.15pm on Saturday evening.
A man and woman, both thought to be aged 19, were cut free from the silver Honda Civic by St Albans firefighters and treated by paramedics from Welwyn Garden City.
Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Paramedics treated, stabilised and immobilised them at the roadside before they were conveyed to the QE11 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City.” The man sustained a head injury in the incident while the woman was treated for injuries to her abdomen.
