Teenager robbed in St Albans

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after a teenage boy was robbed of his mobile phone and rucksack near St Albans City Hospital early one evening last month.

The 16-year-old had been walking along Waverley Road and took a cut through towards the hospital’s grounds when he was approached by a man who blocked his path.

During the incident, which occurred about 7.55pm on Monday, July 12, the man demanded property from the teenager and took his mobile phone and rucksack before making off towards Waverley Road.

The suspect has been described as a white man aged in his early to mid-20s. He was of medium build and around 5ft 10ins tall, and wearing a light blue t-shirt with orange writing on the front. He had short shaven brown hair and some stubble.
