A TEENAGER has been charged with possessing a gas canister following a brawl last month.

The 16-year-old from Abbots Langley had been arrested on the Abbey Flyer train at Park Street Station on suspicion of possessing a firearm without a certificate on September 13.

It followed a clash between some 20 youths at the bottom of Holywell Hill at around 5pm in the afternoon.

Two other youths were arrested following the incident but they have not been charged.

The 16-year-old who was charged was released on bail to appear before magistrates in November.
